Some PTO requests may never be approved or denied. It’s possible that the admin or manager who is supposed to approve the request forgets about it entirely, and never makes a decision on whether the employee can or cannot take the requested time-off.
In these situations, Eddy will auto-approve time-off requests on the first day of the date range selected. This means that if an employee made a PTO request for Sept 1st through Sept 5th, and no admin approved or denied this request, then on Sept 1st, the request would automatically be approved. The hours the employee requested would then be subtracted from their balance.
If the employee ends up not taking the time-off, then a company administrator will need to adjust the employee’s balance so that they can be recompensed for the time that was subtracted from their account that they did not actually use.
