The option to move a candidate to another job is found in the top right corner of the candidate profile under the 3-dot menu, as seen in the image below:
How it works
Moving a candidate is fairly simple--just select the new role, and add any notes you want to include.
What gets moved
We transfer the candidate and all the candidate's history to the new job. Ratings and comments are transferred, and include a note with the title of the job connected to the candidate when the note was originally made.
This same pattern holds for other types of information that is transferred to the new job, such as notes on when the candidate was moved to a new stage
Example of a Phone Screen rating where the rating was on a phone screen for a different job application.
The images below show how the flow works.
Why is there no option to "copy"?
We recommend a "move" instead of a "copy" in order to have the best possible candidate experience. This is because a copy can result in multiple hiring managers within a company reaching out to a candidate for different positions. We recommend working as a hiring team to identify a single person (perhaps a recruiter, or the hiring manager for the best-fit job) and have that person be the only person to message and schedule time with the candidate.
Who can move a candidate?
Only a Hiring Admin or the Hiring Manager has permission to move a candidate. The Hiring Admin can move the candidate to any other open job, while Hiring Managers can move the candidate to any other job they have permission to view or edit (either as Hiring Manager or Hiring Team Member).
